Pompeii Exhibit Experienced
Professors Rosemary Gallick (WO) and Barbara Lash (MA) invited their art history students to tour the National Gallery of Art’s Pompeii Exhibit. Greek and Roman artifacts from 79 A.D. brought many of the classroom-projected images to life. Lash’s Museum Studies students examined the installation of objects and had an opportunity to discuss museum practices with the chief of design and senior curator of the exhibit. This tour was the second of five museum visits planned for the Museum Studies class.
